1908 when sports betting was made illegal,

This was primarily a track for harness racing. It was torn down after
racing ended and became a residential neighborhood. A small alley named
Driving Park Court is one part of the site today, honoring its memory.
The site is about four miles southwest of Burke Lakefront Airport where
CART would race from the 1980s through the 2000s.
