Might go watch ARCA or Grand-Am there next year. 2. Must be really good here, considering he was a former Champ Car driver 4. It neighbors the Millville Executive Airport, the current incarnation of the former Millville Army Air Field where pilots trained to fly warbirds like the P-47 Thunderbolt and P-40 Warhark before going into combat in World War II. The facility's main 2.25-mile track, used for the big races, has been nicknamed the Thunderbolt Raceway in reference to the P-47 while the separate 1.9-mile course is similarly dubbed the Lightning Raceway in reference to the P-38 Lightning, another American fighter during the war. There were plans when this facility was built for the property also to include a tri-oval track, somewhere between 0.75 to one mile in length, for stock car racing but it was never constructed. IIRC that's part of the reason the track landed its ARCA race was because they would run the road course for a few years and then switch to the oval when it was built but that never happened. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
