Pine Grove Speedway (Shippenville, Pa.) was a .5 Mile Dirt track that
was also a one-hit wonder,with a one time only Grand National event held
in October 1951. Two-time NASCAR Grand National Champion (1952, 1955)
Tim Flock won the event in his famous Black Phantom '51 Oldsmobile owned
by Ted Chester.

Sure looks like an overgrown .5 mile track to me just a bit SE of town.
Not saying this is it but it is a good place to start first.

Yep, sure looks like it. I went and looked at a Shippenville, PA aerial
from 1962 (via historicaerials.com) and you can clearly see the 0.5 mile
dirt track to the SE of town. Looks like it also had a 0.25 mile track
inside of it. Looks like the stands were positioned on the west side of
the track down by what I assume would have been turn 4. You can still
faintly see the remnants of the 0.25 mile track on a current Google
Earth image also.

Surprised how intact this track is on the satellite view, at least the
outline of it. Looks like maybe someone might ride bikes or ATV's or
something out there.
