Two-time NASCAR Grand National Champion (1952, 1955) Tim Flock won the event in his famous Black Phantom '51 Oldsmobile owned by Ted Chester. 2. Not saying this is it but it is a good place to start first. 3. AJG posted: 09.10.2019 - 1:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yep, sure looks like it. I went and looked at a Shippenville, PA aerial from 1962 (via historicaerials.com) and you can clearly see the 0.5 mile dirt track to the SE of town. Looks like it also had a 0.25 mile track inside of it. Looks like the stands were positioned on the west side of the track down by what I assume would have been turn 4. You can still faintly see the remnants of the 0.25 mile track on a current Google Earth image also. 4. Looks like maybe someone might ride bikes or ATV's or something out there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
