ARCA, but by 1997 just popping up to a podunk race track in the poorest state in the country is still weird. Also, might want to fix that spelling of the word "Virginia" lol. 3. Opened around 1990 as a 5/8 Mike palace it ran many major Dirt late Model events, including for a time, the Dirt Track World Championship. The track even featured water sprinklers in the concrete walls. Unfortunately the track fell on some hard times in the last decade, even being shortened to 3/8 mile, but is now closed. Unfortunately it's size and banking led to engine and equipment failure in the late models, which prohibited it from being much more than a special event track. In the mid to late nineties the track did run a weekly show under a NASCAR sanction. 6.
