Egg Shaped .5 Mile Oval. Races in 1955 and 66/67 were dirt races, but
the race in 1968 was paved. Track image below:

The track is located at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Track is active.

Oh, and they have a very active program even including ladies on belt
sanders racing.

Wierd looking track, a little like a Darlington that melted in the sun.

This track is located right alongside the Mohawk River. There used to be
a graveyard located just behind Turn 3 although it has since been moved.
J.T Putney famously had to drive through it to get back in the race
after spinning off the track during a Cup race here in 1966...and then
he promptly caused a big crash when he drove back onto the track right
into traffic.
