It was one of the championship's most popular rounds leading the USRRC and its successor Grand-Am to both attempt revivals of it in the late 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. 6. @statscrash posted: 03.02.2020 - 7:02 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Be cool to get ARCA East or the mods back here 7. His lone SCCA Trans-Am win came here in 1986 at the wheel of his famous #33 Nissan. 8. Neither effort panned out. 9. One of the more famous IMSA GTP highlights came here in 1987 when Al Holbert and his #1 Lowenbrau Porsche 962 came up fast one of the RC Cola Buick-powered racers cresting a hill; the Buick took the air off the Porsche's nose and it resulted in Holbert popping a very fast, notably high wheelie before the front end came back down. Holbert still went on to win that race despite a spin on the opening lap. They added chicanes atop the hill to slow down the GTPs after that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
