@2 - many older dirt tracks are shaped like that. It happens when
there's stands only on the front stretch, and the pit entry is in turn 2
or turn 4. With nothing outside on the backstretch the drivers just keep
running a little wider until over the years the track develops a D shape.

The interesting part of this track is that it's obviously intentionally
shaped to look like an old dirt track, since there's a fence and pit
entry on the backstretch.
