Being from Salem and not born until 1996, I would of never guessed that
AAA raced here. Also, sad to say that the track is no more.

Built in 1906, was primarily a horse racing track, and had live harness
racing up until 2009, before being sold and later demolished in 2017.
And I too had no idea the track ever held auto racing events.


Rockingham held the final motorcycle national championships ever run on
a board track, in 1928.
