My mistake it closed in 2005

This track was built in 1946 and operated as Shangri-La Speedway for
more than four decades. After its closure it was demolished to make room
for a gravel mining operation that took over the property.

Track was "Shangri-La Motor Speedway" until the 1990s.

There's a new Shangri-La II Speedway and Drag Strip a couple miles to
the west, which is not the track that was used for Grand National races.

Portions of the original track were still around as late as 2011 on
historic aerials before the gravel pits totally took over all the space.
