A 1/4 mile dirt oval operated from about August 4th, 1957 through 1958, from June 13th, 1964 through 1966, and finally in 1971. Road courses of 0.9, 2.0 and 4.0 miles were run on the airport from August 8th, 1954 through August 4th, 1957. The NASCAR GN race of August 4th, 1957 was run on the 0.9 mile road course (won by Parnelli Jones.) The current 1.0 mile road course has been in operation since 1975. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
