Oglethorpe Speedway Park is a D-shaped clay oval located in Pooler,
Georgia near Savannah. The track measures 5/8 miles on the outside and
1/2 mile on the inside. Banking varies from 12 to 7 degrees on the ends
to 3 degrees in the back section. The track is also apparently used for
karts. Oglethorpe Speedway Park opened in 1951 and the facility shut
down in the mid-60s, but reopened in 1977.

Is currently being shortened to 3/8ths of a mile.

It is on the 1951 aerial view on historic aerials so must have been
brand new. Amazing that it has been in the same place with relatively
minor changes for 70 years.
