There were plans to use the site as an industrial park afterward but currently the property is vacant and overgrown. 2. I remember the first race I went to (nothing featured on here), this guy flip his car and it finally stopped sliding on his roof in front of where me and my dad were sitting at. He gets out, cussing a kicking at the parts on the track. Thought it was funny at the time lol. 4. It opened in 1995 and, as mentioned earlier, closed in 2008 despite regularly hosting series like ProCup and ASA. 5. @statscrash posted: 02.26.2020 - 7:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Lives on as a virtual track through Iracing. 6. possum posted: 02.26.2020 - 9:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @4 - the track was owned by Dick Brooks, owner of the Hooters restaurant chain. Following Brook's death in 2006 there was no-one interested in taking over the track (or the USAR Pro-Cup, which was based there), leading to the track being pretty quickly sold for development. The "USA" originally stood for United Stockcar Alliance, an effort to get a common set of rules for Florida short tracks which never quite worked out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
