It was a new track that no races had been run on yet. This street
circuit was first set up to host the second race of the 2014 Formula E
season.

Putrajaya might be the newest city to host an international street
circuit race. This city was built as a planned city and construction
only started in 1995.

By comparison Long Beach, Monaco, and Bathurst have all had their street
races held for longer than Putrajaya has been in existence.

A surprisingly flowing and sweeping street venue, especially in a
country with only a recent motorsport history. Tilke would do well to
design a permanent circuit like this with a blank canvas. The circuit
provides a few overtaking opportunities and a few challenging corners
for the drivers.
