One of the most lavish race tracks on the planet.

Notably pit road exits back on to the race track through a tunnel. The
track itself is fully equipped for night racing, rare for a road course,
and races are often held at night to escape the heat of the day in the
desert.

It's F1 race the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is run with a day-into-night
format similar to the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600. The first Abu Dhabi Grand
Prix in 2009 was the first time any F1 race was run day-into-night (F1
had only debuted its first true night race [the Singapore Grand Prix]
the year before).

Ferrari World, a giant indoor theme park themed after the Italian sports
car brand, is located adjacent to the track.

It seems that the builders of this track spent all their money on the
amenities and the track layout itself was just an afterthought. Its
probably the most unimaginative circuit ever built. Hairpins and chicanes.

Anthony, it is made worse knowing that they had an empty island to play
with yet came up with a circuit of almost entirely dull corners. The
first 3 are good but the rest really are woefully designed...

Abu Dhabi is technically part of the UAE, so I don't know if that should
be reflected with the flag or not.

This track currently holds the title for as the largest permanent sports
venue lighting project in the world, having surpassed the Qatar's Losail
Circuit for that honor (which had in turn surpassed Daytona
International Speedway in that area).

Abu Dhabi is dry so drivers who win here don't get champagne to
celebrate with. Instead podium celebrations at this track feature
rosewater.

Track Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (with the track using
the red, green, white, and black Emirati flag instead of the city's
red-and-white one)

The signature landmark of this track is the Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi, a giant
hotel that opened alongside the track's first F1 race in 2009. It's most
famous feature is its LED light-coated "Grid Shell" facade, which is
illuminated and changes colors during night races at the track. It is
the first hotel in the world built above an F1 race track.

This track and the hotel's construction was part of a major development
project to turn Abu Dhabi's Yas Island into a major tourist district
with many attractions. The work also included the previously mentioned
Ferrari World indoor amusement park plus a massive waterpark called Yas
Waterworld Abu Dhabi, the Yas Links golf course, an open air concert
venue, and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, a second large indoor amusement
park. Future developments will include a new SeaWorld park, the
company's first without orca whales as it phases them out.

The Yas Marina Circuit has a drag strip on its property that is approved
by the NHRA, one of the few tracks outside the United States that is. It
is located just east of the road course with Ferrari World right behind it.

An incredibly boring track that always causes the Formula 1 season to
end on a low note.

The pole sitter has won the race here every single season in the
turbo-hybrid era. And in 12 races in total, only 1 was ever won from
outside the front row.

The last 132 laps at this track have had 0 lead changes.

The top 3 has also finished the same order they started the last 2 years.

@11 This track is so bad that Sky Sports was calling it out on their
broadcast.
