This street circuit was set up in Hamilton's Frankton business district
and passed by the Seddon Park cricket ground and the Waikato Stadium
rugby and general purpose arena. The track was both very fast and
generally narrow. Hamilton's residents never completely warmed to the V8
Supercar race here leading the city to audit the event and determine its
costs outweighed its benefits leading to its cancellation. The New
Zealand V8 round moved back to Pukekohe Park, where it had been before
this track joined the schedule, following the termination of racing in
Hamilton.
