A semi permanent circuit (kind of like Montreal and Le Mans), and one of
the greatest in the world. Has held the famous Bathurst 1000k race since
1963.

Finally! Now probably only Targa Florio is left missing and then r-r
would have the most historical and magnificent sanctuaries of motorsport.

Home of the world-famous Conrod Straight where V8 Supercars can reach
speeds of 300 KPH (186 MPH).

Believe it or not Bathurst has hosted NASCAR races, the now defunct
Australian NASCAR series ran here as an undercard to the Bathurst 1000
in the late 1990s. Here's the video...

Best racetrack in Australia. Nearly 200 metres in elevation difference
between the bottom and the top of the circuit on a 6.2km lap, 23
corners, many with little runoff and a straight where cars hit top speed
makes for a very great circuit.

The circuit has seen 24 Hour, 12 Hour, 3 Hour, 1000km, 500mi and 500km
endurance races all come and go over the years with various series, it
also hosted motorcycle races up until 2000.

Australia's National Motor Racing Museum is located right next to this
track, specifically it's off the final corner at the pit straight. The
museum contains a number of Bathurst 1000 winning cars on permanent
display.

Supercars CEO Sean Seamer has given a strong hint that Bathurst will
indeed host next year's championship opener.
