Has three different configurations, the GP course, the east course (which utilizes the front straight and the esses), and the west course (which utilizes everything else). The circuit is the centerpiece of an amusement park; the tall Ferris Wheel can be seen from the track. 2. The track regularly hosts the Japanese Grand Prix and hosted NASCAR Winston Cup exhibition races in 1996 and 1997. 3. The highlight of the park is its giant Ferris wheel which is visible from the track, the Ferris wheel is actually the tallest structure in all of Japan's Mie Prefecture. 6. That was a notable change when the NASCAR exhibition races were run here because it meant the teams didn't have a pit wall to work with as most North American tracks do. A white line painted through the pit area was used to donote the area behind which all the pit crews had to stand until their cars came in. 8.
