Januay 1st, 2005, this track was renamed Okayama International Circuit.

This slow and twisty track, long known as the TI Circuit Aida before its
name change, was built as a private race in 1990 geared toward wealthy
enthusiasts. The track became the home of the new Formula 1 Pacific
Grand Prix in 1994 but the event lasted just two years due to the
track's remote location in Okayama Prefecture. The track later hosted
the World Touring Car Championship from 2008 to 2010 but that series'
Japan round later moved to Suzuka and Motegi.
