This was the only track in Canada to host a USAR ProCup race.

The Great American Truck Race semi racing series ran here in the 1980s.
According to legend the semis tore up the track at Cayuga so badly it
was almost a dirt track by the time they were done. Supposed incidents
like that played into why the GATR series moved from pavement to dirt
tracks in its later years.

Track's restoration is behind schedule, but still ongoing (just a little
slower than they'd like).

A new name has been announced for the track: 'Jukasa Motor Speedway'

Not sure how I feel about the name Jukasa, but oh well.

Supposedly the name 'Jukasa' is "important to the new owners" but the
exact meaning hasn't been stated. I suspect it's a portmaneu of names.

Racing is returning to Cayuga/Jukasa for the first time in years with a
big late model and outlaw super late model race on August 26 & 27 this
year. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Pinty's series back running here
in 2018 or 2019.

Apparently Jukasa Motor Speedway's new owners own a cigarette empire
worth at least a billion dollars CAD. Still unsure what Jukasa means,
but one of the owners has named several things he owns 'Jukasa', so he
definitely loves the name.

This track is about as close to Hamilton as Watkins Glen is to Rochester
or Syracuse or Pocono is to Scranton or Allentown. Saying it's in
Hamilton is a joke. You don't say Mosport is in Toronto (but then again,
it's not in Bowmanville either).

The track is in Knell's Corners, but Hagersville is the closest town and
that's what is listed as it's official address.

The 2020 Canadian Short Track Nationals were cancelled, or rather
"postponed to 2021," due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ken Hill named the speedway Jukasa to honour three of his nieces that
lost their lives in car accidents. Justine(ju), Karen (ka), Sarah (sa).
