It is outside Peterborough in the tiny place of Fraserville on the side of the highway. I live in between Kawartha & Peterborough Speedway (separated by a couple minutes) and have worked at both. 2. But in 2013, there is no financial support from the OLG to the Kawartha Downs facilities and no one is there to run the track. Their weekly racing divisions will not run on Friday nights and the only two race weekends are going to be the NCATS race and an OSCAAR weekend. 3. The oval is located inside the Kawartha Downs horse racing track that predates the speedway by more than 25 years. Kawartha was the site of the final CASCAR Super Series race in 2006 before the series morphed into the NASCAR Canadian Tire/Pinty's Series in 2007. 4. OSCAAR holds races occasionally and I believe they will be returning this year. 5.
