The facility has numerous tracks including a drag strip which hosted big-time NHRA drag racing in the mid-1980s and a smaller short track oval. The drag strip also makes up part of a road course with other tracks for go-karts or motocross racing. 3. 23andJoe posted: 07.20.2014 - 1:55 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Correct parsing of this track's name is "Sanair Super Speedway". 4. The two North Tour events held here in '79 were also part of the NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Division and counted for points for both series. 5. The series aimed to bring the Midwestern American Speed Association series, the Southern All-Pro Super Series, and the Northeastern/Canadian American-Canadian Tour together to run the series' largest races such as Sanair or the Nashville All-American 400 as a united tour with a higher profile as it aimed to become North America's premier short track stock car series. The first race, a 400-lapper, saw ASA's Butch Miller best Ted Musgrave for the win here at Sanair. Ultimately the series didn't pan out, the other tours fast lost interest when it became apparent the ASA guys were going to dominate it, but Sanair would host a second race in 1988 before the series split up at the end of that season. 6. The oval must not be used for major competitive events anymore. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
