(though still there) These events were called the "Race of Two Worlds" that pitted F1 against USAC teams. USAC won both events. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_of_Two_Worlds 4. joey2448 posted: 08.30.2016 - 5:11 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Appears that the future of the Italian Grand Prix is safe at Monza. Nothing is official yet, but it sounds better than the bleak reports earlier that Bernie Ecclestone was to be giving Imola the 2017 race. 5. kup posted: 12.01.2017 - 2:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Formula One Autodromo Nazionale di Monza 1931-2017 # races: 72 UPS: universal points system. Changes expected: -Likely removal of the second chicane before the Lesmo's (added in '76 and moved 50 meters closer to Curva Grande for '95) -Softened radius of the second Lesmo back to its original profile (It has been re-profiled a few times since '94) -Track widened to 12 metres across to FIA standards. 8. I think the pole column entrys (0) should be deleted and the following colums should be moved to the left. 9. averageracingfan posted: 10.09.2019 - 1:08 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) No Italian driver has ever won here in F1 10. RaceFanX posted: 04.25.2020 - 12:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The infamous Monza oval was 2.796 miles long, that's longer than Talladega. The track oval hasn't been used for a real race since 1961 although it got a brief revival in 1966 to film scenes for the movie "Grand Prix." Digital recreations of the Monza oval can be driven in video games such as Project CARS 2 and iRacing. The regular Monza road course is a video game staple featuring in many Formula 1, Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo, Project CARS, and Assetto Corsa games. 14. The World Sportscar Championship used it from 1965 to 1969 for example. 15. From Ian Parkes: Mugello confirmed by sources for staging its first #F1 grand prix - and the 1000th for @ScuderiaFerrari - on Sep 11-13. It means European season now runs to nine races in opening 11 weeks, with three triple-headers. Intense just doesn't cover it! 17. Each broadcast is $9.99. The release date of June 29 coincides with the actual race date in both 1957 and 1958 at Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Italy. For many years it was believed these rare broadcasts were lost to history, but 1/4-inch audio recordings of the races were discovered in the IMS Museum vault. As part of the Museum's ongoing audio preservation project, the recordings were sent to Memnon Archiving Services in Bloomington, Indiana for preservation and digitization. 18. It was one of the worst downpours i'd ever seen in motor racing ever. THey even recorded hail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
