This track was built in 1963 and is best known for regularly hosting the
Formula Two/Formula 3000 Rome Grand Prix from 1963 to 1991 (Italy's own
Alex Zanardi won the last running). It was renovated first in 1971 and
then extended from 3.222 kilometers to 4.085 kilometers during a
modernization in 2005. F1 cars test here and it hosted its first Euro
NASCAR races in 2020.

Video game developers Kunos Simulazioni have their headquarters here at
this track. The company is best known for its popular "Assetto Corsa"
series of realistic racing simulation games. Naturally, their home track
is included and drivable in the games.
