RaceFanX posted: 06.27.2015 - 7:21 pm Rate this comment: (1) (1) This was the first race course in London to be used for a major race since the closure of the former Crystal Palace circuit. It's only the second street course ever set up in England for international circuit competitions after the former Birmingham Superprix track used by the BTCC and the Formula 3000 series. The track wound through London's Battersea Park. Weirdly some of the roads used for the track weren't really level and showed a visible tilt to the sides. Turn 1 had a large bump that caused so many problems in practice it was eliminated for the races, requiring a rolling start for safety reasons because of the resulting corner's narrowed nature. 2. bduddy posted: 07.01.2015 - 1:28 am Rate this comment: (1) (1) #1: Actually, the bump was flattened overnight after the first race on Saturday, so the second race on Sunday used a standing start without the narrowing barrier. 3.
