This track was first set up in 2016 at the last minute when Europe's
migrate crisis scuttled plans for Formula E to again race at Templehof
Airport. This course was set up in East Berlin racing through the
Strausberger Platz and Karl-Marx-Allee. The course looped right around
the Strausberger Platz' fountain.

This has to be the only track on this site with a section named after
Marx, granted he was German.

This track or Formula E's Paris Street Circuit was the 600th track added
to Racing-Reference (both were linked up at the same time).

During the 2016 holiday season Formula E loaned the barriers it uses to
set up this course to the City of Berlin after the city asked for their
use. The barriers were used to protect Christmas markets in the city in
the aftermath of the December 2016 attack one where a terrorist drove a
semi-truck into one.

Will not be used in the 2016-17 season, instead a new layout at the
Berlin Tempelhof Airport will be used.
