RaceFanX posted: 02.07.2018 - 7:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) This Tuscany course, a public road circuit, was first set up in 1921 with all of its glory days coming before World War II and move of racing to purpose-built circuits afterward. There were efforts to revive it in 1947 and 1953 but neither gained traction. The track is best known as the site of the Coppa Ciano grand prix race but hosted the Italian Grand Prix once in 1937. The track was originally a long course including a section running up into the local mountains with 300 meters of change in elevation during each lap.
