Home of the Hungarian Grand Prix (or officially, the Magyar Nagydíj)
since 1986.

Described by some as being like Monaco without the barriers, due to the
slower speeds.

During the Soviet-era Hungaroring races there was supposedly a few
missile silos, aimed toward western countries, located just behind the
track and TV crews had to shoot carefully to avoid showing them (heard
this on "Off the Grid" but couldn't see anything else on it)

That is proper bullshit.
The closest missile silos are located in Pécel. That is 30kms down from
the final turn, problem is, it's on an altitude 40 metres LOWER than
Mogyoród.
