It was then disliked by drivers and fans alike. Drivers said it was bland and fans complained that they weren't close enough to the action. After the promoter went bankrupt in 1974 the track lost the right to host the 1976 Belgian Grand Prix ironically because the pavement was no longer considered safe enough to race on. By 1981 it had closed for good. In the 1990s it was abandoned and possible to run illegal laps around the track. Today it is no more, the circuit was finally demolished in the early 21st century and today has been mostly converted into an industrial park. The actual track portion largely remains, repurposed as roads for the industrial park. 2. Alex posted: 08.09.2015 - 12:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Track is located in Nivelles, Belgium. 3. The track picked up the nickname "Circuit de Revolver" as a result. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
