The track was built in 1968 and hugely popular during the early to mid-1970s before the deaths of Swedish racing stars Ronnie Peterson and Gunnar Nilsson killed off most of the country's interest in F1. While F1 left after 1978 the track continues to host regular races including international events. The track is now known as Anderstorp Raceway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
