The track is also a "roval," and has a intigrated road course (2.090 miles in total length), that held WTCC rounds from its opening in 2005 until 2009. The circuit is the sight of the fatal crash of Carlos Pardo, who's car exploded when his car slammed sideways into one of the road course openings on the backstretch. They have since made improvments to the locations of the barriers since the incident. 2.
