Originally built with blessing from Juan Peron.

Hosted an Argentine Grand Prix for many years (with the events from
1953-58, 1960, 1972-75, 1977-81 and 1995-98 being held to Formula One
regulations).

Race ceased to exist after the 1998 running due to lack of funding by
the organizers.
