Not to be confused with Fundidora Park (the circuit in Monterrey that
Champ Car raced on), Monterrey is a road course located in the suburb of
Apodaca. The track was opened in 1970. There is 2 configurations, the
2.1 mile "Grand Prix" circuit, and the 1 mile "El Frijol ("bean") circuit.

This circuit's El Frijol layout is just as bean shaped as its name
implies. At first glance it looks like an oval but thanks to its
doglegged backstretch it turns sharp to the left then expected and then
back out to the right like the old Trenton Speedway in the USA. It's a
really unique layout.
