Parque Fundidora is a public park with several attractions created by
redevloping land that belonged to the Monterrey Foundry steel mill after
it closed for good in 1986 (some large portions of the mill, including
its bllast furnaces are preserved in the park as a museum). Racing was
held on a temporary street circuit set up in the park.

This was the site of the Indy Lights' only race outside the United
States or Canada to date.

APPARENTLY, the track may see racing once again, in the NASCAR Mexico
series in 2014, as it appeared on the tentative schedule, in place of
the permanent track.

This track had a cool, industrial look to it since the course ran right
past the preserved former steel mill infrastructure. Since it used roads
located in the park usually used for recreation this also gave it the
neat vision of having bike lanes painted on the track in certain locations.
