a.k.a. Circuito Anhembi, using the Carnival venue. Features a nearly
mile-long backstretch, one of the biggest of any current street course.

The pits are not on the frontstretch, rare in racing but it happens from
time to time on street courses (the old CART Denver streetcourse with
the finish line at the Capitol was like that too).

This race died off, like so many street course events, because of
financial difficulties. An attempt to start a new Brazilian race at the
Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet in the Brazilian national capital
of Brasilia in March 2015 made it as far as officially being on the
IndyCar schedule before government officials called it off two months
prior to the green flag.

This track will apparently be on the 2017-18 Formula E schedule,
according to something released today.
